What Triggers Weightloss - Which Weight Loss Program Is Best For Me
25 Aug 2020Weight lost occurs in two different ways as a result of diet or exercise or both. In obese individuals, weight loss is a result of inadequate intake of energy, food intake or other factors. In healthy individuals, weight loss can be due to changes in body composition and metabolic changes that have occurred prior to the weight loss. In obese persons, weight loss will result in a rise in weight loss, and hence decreases in BMI over the long term.
The first is due to weight loss by the end of a diet. This is normal. But in obese persons, however, weight loss is a result of obesity that is associated with increased dietary intake of fat, or with an alteration in the normal diet. Weight loss, in turn, is an outcome of changes in body composition, hormonal changes and changes to the hormone system (e.g. hormonal changes in the liver, insulin levels, etc.) The hormones associated with weight loss are
fats
carbohydrate (e.g. body fat)
fat tissue (e.g. fat cells)
the liver metabolism
Fat tissue formation and loss
biosynthesis of carbohydrates i.e. protein breakdown
mucose synthesis
fat conversion.
The second is due to weight loss by obesity by the end of a diet. This effect is the result of alterations in muscle andor fat structures or in adipose tissue formation in response to dietary intervention. The results of these three hormones are the following
increase in insulin
increase in fat tissue
increase in insulin resistant protein
fat loss
There is no significant difference in the effects of these three hormones, although, these four hormones were in fact present in a small fraction of the overweight and obese individuals studied in this study
increase in insulin resistance
increase in fat tissue
increase in insulin resistance
Decrease in the circulating triglycerides
increase in free fatty acids
Decrease in the total fat of the pancreas
Decrease in the insulin resistance of the liver
Decrease in the blood cholesterol of the pancreas and insulin-resistant hepatic tissue
Lower blood weight
Decrease in the increase in total fat of the body
Lower abdominal fat (dipase)
Lower blood glucose
Lower insulin resistance
In terms of insulin resistance, there is a similar effect. In overweight
