Studies that show that people who gain weight quickly recover better than those who experience short-term weight loss.
In a 2006 study, researchers at Northwestern University assessed the relationship between short-term weight loss and Type 2 diabetes, taking into consideration that a large, healthy percentage of Americans had lost weight with at least 3 percent of their bodies fat, about two thirds of whom were obese.
Weight loss after 2 percent
An American Heart Association study found that, compared with those who experienced a short-term weight loss (up to 2 percent of their body weight), those who experienced an average long-term weight loss of over 2 pounds gained weight more than those who experienced an average short-term weight loss. The researchers found that those who got rid of their medications and took medication prescribed by their diabetes treatment group regained more body fat.
If people who suffer from Type 2 diabetes are more likely to be obese or have type II diabetes, it may be because they’re better able to gain weight and maintain it, and people who lose weight quickly gain back their organs and lose their organs. Another study in 2010 found that those who underwent medication prescribed by their primary care physician helped their body lose weight faster By gaining the weight that their primary care physician thought they’ll be losing, they gained weight.
But researchers don’t yet know why those taking medication prescribed by their doctor don’t gain weight after more than 2 weeks. Some researchers believe these people experience weight-loss benefits while the medications themselves remain in their body. Other researchers worry that some medications are not enough or not working within their bodies.
